but im wondering if the week after has the better deals..??

We always go about this time of year also and what I found was it is cheaper for us to go the week of labor day. The last 2 weeks of September was more expensive for flights and rooms at the time I booked.

The way the calendar falls this year there%26#39;s a full week of September before Labor Day so it%26#39;s a little different to most years. Looking at rates at a couple of hotels the week of Labor Day has lower rates than the following week.

We%26#39;re booked for Sept 16th thru 23drd and got some good deals on airfare (nonstop) and hotel.

We got the South Point for 5 nights at $350 plus get a $50 resort credit.

Haven%26#39;t booked the other 2 nights yet, but plan on Golden Nugget or 4Queens downtown.

Also got a midsize rental from Alamo for 8 days for $170 including taxes and fees. we%26#39;ll keep checking for lower rates for the car right up till time to leave.

I been giving a hard look at the excalibur offer for $68 and $24 on Sat Sun on Labor Day. Thats chump change for a room.

I just got an EM from Excalibur for $29 for 9/6 and 9/7...the rest of the week is also $29...must be booked by 5/27. What a deal !

Booked 4 nights at South Point starting Monday September 7 for $40.00 per night. Labor day week is one of the best for lower priced vacations. Most kids start school that week or close to it so any one with school age children is probably not booking trips that week, same for companies booking conventions for the same reason.

did some checking.. the 2nd week of Sept 7-10 and the last week of Sept 28th-30th appear cheapest.. enjoy
