**Planet Hollywood May 29th and 30th - Can't wait!**

Just about 4 weeks until my buddy and I head to Vegas... As it stands now, we%26#39;re planning on Hawaiin Tropic Zone on Friday night (05/29) and Tao for dinner the next night (05/30). We will probably head into the Tao nightclub Sat. night too. The option call is Prive on either Friday or Saturday night.

Is Koi at PH any good or fun? The Living Room also looks good on line.

Anyone have a take on these places?

Is it somewhat easy to get a room upgrade at PH?

How is the PH pool scene?

If you%26#39;re cool and going during that time frame, let me know. More the merrier!

Prive is pretty cool. They usually have a celebrity hosting there on the Saturday night. I just got back this morning but forget who it was this weekend.

Haven%26#39;t eaten at Koi or the Living Room so no comment there.

I have been upgraded before with the $20 trick to a resort room. If you have status with Starwood, that%26#39;s almost a given free upgrade. I%26#39;ve gotten a vista suite each time without asking after having booked a hollywood hip room. Definitely ask though. This weekend was actually the busiest I%26#39;ve seen Vegas in a long time. The Sunday night was crazy as well.

Pool scene isn%26#39;t the best. Really just two pools with lounge chairs, music and cabana%26#39;s. I seem to remember that one of the pools is somewhat shaded. I don%26#39;t spend alot of time out there though so not much help on that one either.

Thanks for the info! Anyone else out there with a take on Koi, Prive, Living Room, or Hawaiin Tropic Zone (HTZ).

Thanks!

I do not know if it s a regular thing but Hawaiian Tropic zone was basically a gangsta hang out when we were there, I would avoid it

Koi is great for food but okay as a lounge. Prive is a bit full of itself and even with VIP passes I have only gone in it once. The living room is a side bar next to Prive and was fun before they closed it off and too away the Hi limit bar area. I have not been. Upgrades are hit and miss. What kind do you want? Ask for a fountain view as it is the good and if you bring back ladies they tend to like the view. Pool is very basic but normally has good music and few kids. The strip house is great for steaks also with a rat pack vibe.

Hawaiian Tropic Zone is not bad, not great. If you look around you can find coupons for it. It reminds me of sports bars around where I live. Ok prices, average service and food. For Vegas it can be a good deal.

Was in LV this past weekend. We took in the Hawaiin Tropic Zone for 2 for 1 drinks on Saturday afternoon. The drink coupon is pretty easy to find - just spit on the ground within 500 feet of the HTZ and you are pretty much guaranteed to hit a coupon 50% of the time. The other 50% will hit porn cards. I recommend the drink coupon, but if you hit the porn, then go with it man - nothing ventured nothing gained and either way you are out only $35 bucks.

The HTZ had great Long Islands and Pina Colada%26#39;s ($12 for 2 drinks). The nachos were great too. We stumbled into the place but found ourselves really enjoying the drinks and the scenery, if you know what I mean. If you can catch a ball game, their enourmous TV assemblage will impress.

Of all the casinos on the south end, we really liked the scene at the PH the best. They had the best slots - not sure about their table games since we were just passing through and didnt have time to sit down. The Wizard of Oz machines were a blast - however we have a 5 year old daughter who loves the WOZ, so we played it and thought of her.

Next time we go to LV, I am going to stay at the PH and hang out at the HTZ as long as the drink coupons are still around. PF Changs was good too.

Have fun. Sounds like you are dialed in.

Thanks! Good advice!

Looking forward to it...

Have a GREAT time Calif neighbor! Not sure if any advice from this 56 year old would pertain to you except one.

13 Long Island Ice Teas might ruin a good dinner. Lmao

Have a BLAST!

Let the countdown begin. Just about two weeks left!

If any of you are also going during this time, let me know. Maybe we can do a quick M%26amp;G.
