Vegas Info for your trip..Save money

Hello Forum..

Will try to share with you all we did last month on our first trip to Vegas.Spent 1 week there.Las Vegas Hilton Grand Vacation.

You do not need a lot of money if you are going to vist the strip. We came home with some money we took so if you are not into the best of everything, you will have a fun and inexpensive trip.

First.. the duece bus is the best method of travel..can get a 3 day pass 24/7 for about $28.00 per person.WELL WORTH IT! The monorial cost a little more if ur in a hurry.. more walking involved tho.

Grand canyon tour..check the web for deals.. We spent $169.99 for TWO. Good price..South rim..Hoover dam was included..Check out the Grand Canyon Tour and Travel Bus co....www.grandcanyontourandtravel.com

Saw the Jersey Boys at the Palazzo..FANTAST!

A FAVORITE TOUR WE LOVED was the Las Vegas Tour with the Stars..Can book through your hotel but pick up is at Planet Hollywood. Elvis is the best so ask if he will be on the tour..Hubby and I loved him!

Book the upper deck! It%26#39;s awesome to see the strip at night.. lots of fun trivia about the strip!

Take advantage of free shows on the strip and in the hotels..

The Mirage..Beautiful grounds and the nightly erupting of the volcano! Free

The Liberace Museum..Awesome.. cost us $40.00 to see both museum and show.. Worth it! His house was there too..few streets over..

Lots more to see but need time and money :)

You must take the deuce to the Fremont Experience..

It%26#39;s old Las Vegas downtown,,prices there are the best for everything!!!!!!!!!FANTASTIC FREE LIGHT SHOW.. a must see!

Do purchase a dvd of the strip.. We love ours!

Food: Loved breakfast at Earl of Sandwitch in the Planet Hollywood Mall..$s.99 for any breakfast sand. $4.99 for lunch and dinner sand. May find coupons for free coffee with meal!

Sahara: Fantastic early morning breakfast.. Steak and 2 eggs $4.99..don%26#39;t buy coffee tho.. $3.00 lol.. Hubby loved it..steak very tender!

Carry water with you.. very good prices at the CVS and Wallgreens stores on the strip.. Hotels expensive!

Ok..there is a start for you.. we played a few slot machines for fun.. broke even or made a few $..Not our goal tho. Be wise!

Nice report filled with all kinds of detail and tips!

Sounds like you had a blast! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the info....

Onelover, you are welcome

It was our first trip there.. We did a lot of homework and the Forum was helpful too.

There are so many books there to guide you but do use the web..

One thing, People are all over the strip handing you ';deals'; be wise!! there is usually a hitch.. so just walk on by.. Use your hotel for references.. lots of good info in hotels.. and not just yours. We used the help from other hotels.. very good too.. Check on that bus tour with the stars. We were the only 2 on the tour that night WHAT A BLAST,, Elvis was fantastic and he did perform as if we 2 were 20!

It was a riot to see mega crowds yelling to elvis on our bus as he sang hahaha..can%26#39;t tell you how many pictures we ruined rofl!! hahaha too funny!

He was a Gem!! very good! Have fun..

To all of you..

Glad I can help..Viva Las Vegas!!

Thanks for posting your tips. I will only comment that regarding the Excalibur buffet, either they have recently improved it dramatically or you are a rare bird, indeed :)

LOL. must be a rare bird lol.. it was fantastic!!

Had different stations.. International, American just the best..

Too bad we found it so late in our trip but then again, maybe it was a good thing. My husband didn%26#39;t know I could eat so much haha.. take care...

About the deuce bus on the strip.. when paying for a ticket, you have to put money in a unit and if you over pay, you will not get back your change.

Make sure you have the right amout.

First time we bought tickets, we put in $15.00 for a $12.00 fee ... never got the money back.. This is something you learn from experience..be aware..

Have fun...the Deuce is the best way to go..

Glad you had a great time. Those are great tips for newbies.

I have to disagree with TI Sirens show. That is a lame thing about a bunch of half naked women trying to seduce the male pirates. But we all have our opinion.

Glad you broke even on the slots. That is really good. Are you planning to go again?

You had me until you mentioned ';Excalibur'; and ';Fantastic Buffet'; in the same post....

Glad you enjoyed yourself....but WOW !

(and I%26#39;m not even a Buffet snob, I like the Luxor%26#39;s, RIO%26#39;s, Orleans, and other cheapos)
