Does anyone know the hours of the pools at Mandalay? I%26#39;ve only ever been to Carribean resorts, and they close the pools ridiculously early, at 6pm. I%26#39;m hoping this isn%26#39;t the case in Vegas!

Vegas hotels are not known for keeping their pools open until late at night.

The last bus back to the Hotel will be at 7PM sharp. It stops at poolview Blvd then goes to Cabana drive then on to the hotel.
Drunk people and pools open late aren%26#39;t a good mix plus the hotels really want you gambling, not at the pool.

No late night dips. I guess it makes sense though :-)
The casinos feel that there is enough going on inside the hotels that it isn%26#39;t cost effective to keep the pool open after the sun goes down.
Our standard answer is usually....
The pools are closed at night because they want you in the Hotel gambling.
I dont think it has anything to do with this at all.
Families with kids don’t gamble.
Most real gamblers are not sitting pool side at 9pm. they have already had a great meal and ready to attack the tables.
The majority of tourist also would not be sitting pool side at 9 or 10pm.
I believe it%26#39;s a number of other factors
The extra help needed at night to keep the pool open.
The time needed to pick up. clean up and be ready for the next day.
Liability for insurance purposes.
exactly right dice - the reasons pools close when they do is money - doesn%26#39;t pay to staff for the limited # of visiotrs, delays maintenance and costs more than is deemed ';worth it';. People who want to gamble do so pool open or not
When the pool party closes, it means that its time to go back to your room and get ready for the night time clubbing :)
