a few questions please

My friend and me will be in Vegas Aug12-17th and we booked the MGM Grand for 5 nights which totaled 420 w/o tax. As I was browsing the forum I cam across a promo code MKT which includes a lot of things that we didn%26#39;t get. The room rate is the same price(I checked it to see if we have to pay more) so should we cancel our room and use the other promo code? I%26#39;ve never used promo codes before and this will be our first time in Vegas(I%26#39;m 30 and she%26#39;s 31, so we are ready to party) We don%26#39;t gamble but the other features seem great i.e the pool side cocktails and the spa. Will there be any additonal daily chrages added if we use this promo code? I also called the hotel to see what the difference is between the westwing and the grand tower and she said the west wings is an upgrade(she wasn%26#39;t much help) I read sooo many reviews and alot of ppl complained about the west wing??? Did we make a good choice to stay at the MGM? I am so funny when it comes to hotels(watched too many 60mintues and CSI)that I am hoping not to get the dated room with the not so great bathroom. Please to me how to best avoid this from happening.... And I remember seeing a post about the taxi reguarding the route to tell the driver can some please tell what to tell him?(read the taxi like to take the ';long'; route)And can you tell us where we can go clubbing and shopping....and any other information will be helpful....thank you so much in advance.... I just don%26#39;t want to be disappointed when we go esp because it%26#39;s our first time. I have more questions but I%26#39;m trying to read before I ask just in case find the answer. To answer some of your questions...if you find a better rate for your hotel, just call them and have them adjust it. MGM is great. The pool is fantastic, and the rooms are large and clean with really nice bathrooms. Your taxi should not take ';the tunnel'; to MGM by any stretch of the imagination, but if it makes you feel better, just tell them No Tunnel when you get in.
