this was my 6th or 7th trip (lost count) but there was still some new things tried and seen. I am also a low roller so no fancy food or clubs.

Bring it on! I want to read about it!

tr May 9-12

Arrived early sat morning to check in at Imperial Palace. Have stayed there before but in a deluxe room and this time had a standard room. The room was clean but dated as expected. Everything worked fine only difference was the bed was as hard as a wooden plank! Only $10 more for a deluxe room and we should have done it, bed is much much better.

We were only staying one night so not a big deal. First thing on my list of to do%26#39;s was buffet at Paris. It was wonderful. Loved it and ate way too much. Spent most of the day at PH and totally forgot about the M%26amp;G that day. Sorry KittKitty.

Checked out next morning and caught taxi to Mandalay Bay for two comp nights. Needless to say this is where our trip went from rags to riches! check in line was not too bad and when I got to the desk made small chat with the woman and told her how excited we were to be invited there and couldn%26#39;t wait to see everything. She lets me know that we are early for check in(11 am) but does some typing and announces she has a great room available. She gives us 31223. We go up to the room and it is the 31st floor with a panoramic strip view! It was amazing! In all our trips to vegas we have never had a view of anything but a parking garage and never really cared.

We stood in front of the floor to ceiling windows mesmerized for about 10 min and didn%26#39;t want to leave. then we sat down on the bed and almost didn%26#39;t want to ever get up again. Heaven! We never closed our curtains once. We made sure we were in our room at sunset to watch all the lights come on and just layed in bed in the morning to look down the strip.

More to come in a little while.

After falling in love with our room it was time to go out and see some things. There was a slot tourney at Excaliber I wanted to try so off I went. It is open to the public and on Thurs to Sun. $20 to enter. 1st place $1000 cash, 2nd $500 free play, 4-10 two free buffets. So I pay my $20 and am signed up for the second round at 2:30. I end up with a good score and am sitting at 2nd. There were about 4 or 5 more rounds to go and after every round I go check the board. Yahoo I win second! I go to players desk and get the $500 put on my card. This was my gambling for the rest of the trip! Managed to turn the free play into $480 cash.

It was about 5pm and had seen a sign saying buffet was 2 for 1 from 4-6pm. Now this is no Paris or Bellagio buffet but at $20 for both hubby and I to eat and have beverages with out having to eat greasy burgers it was darn good. Basic buffet food with carving stations and fish selections, soup salads etc. All very good.

Sun night I went to House of Blues to see Purple Reign. $10 cover and the show was excelent. About 2 hour show and the DJ for intermission was excelent as well. Up to bed after the show to fall asleep by the twinkling lights of the strip!

LOVE your report! we%26#39;re staying at THEHotel next month and plan on seeing Purple Reign! We saw them at the Boardwalk about a million years ago and loved it!

I%26#39;d love to read more if ya got it....

Great report so far, JustDucky!! Congratulations on second place in the tournament! What day is the tournament? I%26#39;d like to try it out in August if they%26#39;re still holding it.

Congratulations on the Poker Tournament Win~! That made your gambling for the rest of the trip AND you cashed out $480? Wow! Good job!

I%26#39;m waiting to hear more as well.... :-)

Also NYNY had one on Tues but saw it too late. I think it started at about 1 but need to sign up before then.

Enjoying your TR and the info for the slot tourney.

On Mon morning woke up kind of late because bed was so darn comfy. Made my way to Tix 4 tonight to get tickets to Fantasy. Price was 27.50 each. About half price, very happy to see that. You get vouchers that you take to the luxor box office to exchange for the tickets. I went much later in the day to do this and still got row g (only goes to N)right in the middle. These seats were great. Small theater with stadium seating.

Before fantasy we went to House of Blues for dinner and had a wonderful meal without spending a fortune. Hubby had jambalaya and I had shrimp creole over fish. Very Very good!

The show was quite good but I thought there was at least one man in the show and there was only women, besides the comedian (very funny) that does fill in while there are costume changes. this show is nothing like a cirque show which is what we were looking for. this is more about sixual fantasies and was done very well. Be careful if you are in front row as they pick one poor sap to pick on the whole time. He (Trent) seemed to enjoy it though!

little gambling after show and up to bed.
