Bars and Clubs...too many and not enough time

Me and my boyfiend are going to Vegas in 4 weeks, staying at Mirage (we are age 22 and 24). There are so many bars we would like to go to, and we only have 4 nights here so trying to decide which places to choose. so I am wondering if you could let me know which are best in your opinion, out of my list :-)

Fontana Bar @ Bellagio, Caramel @ Bellagio, Blush or Tryst @ Wynn, Voodoo lounge @ Rio, eye candy @ mandalay

Which bar do you prefer, bar at times sqaure @ nyny or duelling pianos at harrah%26#39;s?

We will definately go to the mix lounge at mandalay one night. I would also like to go to Tao, if we had a meal there would we get into the club or still have to queue?

Sorry about all the questions..i know it is diffuclt to say as everyone has different tastes in places but just would like to know everyone%26#39;s opinion and favourite place...we like nice bars with nice views, not really into serious clubbing but do like the look of Blush and Tryst?

Thanks for your help.

Bars and Clubs...too many and not enough time

Here%26#39;s my opinion of the places on your list. Caramel is really more of a standard hotel bar, I would skip it. Fontana Bar usually has a live band and views of the fountains, which is great. But, it gets busy later in the evening. It does have the added value of serving appetizers from 6-9pm.

VooDoo Lounge has a mix of live music/DJ%26#39;s and and a big outdoor patio with separate music/bar. Fantastic views, a must-see at least once. If you have dinner at the restaurant, you automatically get access to the club afterwards, it%26#39;s upstairs above the restaurant. We%26#39;ve done that a few times and had a good time.

Blush and Tryst are the most high-end on your list, you%26#39;ll pay to get in and drinks are pretty pricey. Same goes for Tao. I%26#39;m not sure if you can go directly to the club after dinner, I haven%26#39;t been there yet.

For another great view, I would add Mix Lounge to your list, it%26#39;s at THEhotel (connected to Mandalay Bay). You can also check out eyecandy lounge. Eyecandy is great because it%26#39;s free and much more casual than an ultra lounge. They have a small dance floor and good DJ%26#39;s, the atmoshphere is nice, even though it%26#39;s right in the middle of the casino.

The Mirage is a great location and you%26#39;ll find lots to do and see. We%26#39;ll be there next week, yay!

Enjoy!

Bars and Clubs...too many and not enough time

Thanks so much for your reply. If we went to Fontana bar about 7-8ish would it be too busy, would like to sit outside on the patio. I know Blush, Tryst and Tao are v.expensive but I think one night we will splash out and go to one of these, cant afford to every night.

God I wish I was going next week...4 weeks seems like agers, hope it goes quickly!

Thanks again, and hope you have a brilliant time on your trip

I think if you go to Fontana%26#39;s early, you will be fine. It%26#39;s probably better to enjoy the view and actually get a seat somewhere. You just won%26#39;t have any live music.

You%26#39;ll have a lot of fun at the Mirage, we usually stay there too, but got an offer from TI, 3 comped nights. You can take the free tram from Mirage next door to TI and check out that property too. If you like sushi/japanese/fusion (and a great bar), you should try Social House restaurant at TI, one of our faves. You also have Caesars next door, lots to do there as well.

I agree about trying an upscale club, we and another couple had an expensive night out at PURE a few years ago and it was a lot of fun. I would probably pick another club next time though, it was so crowded you couldn%26#39;t even get on the dance floor!

Hopefully the 4 weeks will fly by and before you know it you%26#39;ll be on a barstool somewhere enjoying a cocktail and taking in the sights.....

Wow. I am so jealous that you are going to vegas in 4 weeks. My trip is not until July. I have been to vegas twice and my boyfriend and I am similiar in age to you. Vegas has some of the best bars and clubs around!

As others have stated, the views, environment, and live music at the Voodoo Lounge are super cool. There used to be a free entry coupon/voucher on the Harrahs website if you enter before 10. I would recmomend going there if its free.

My favorite club in Pure at Caesars. It is always a good time. I would also recommend Jet at the Mirage. Definitely check out Napkinnights.com and see if you can put yourself on the guestlist for any clubs. :)

Have fun!

I%26#39;m like you - not into the whole clubbing scene but it is cool to see some of them even if it%26#39;s just for a little bit!

The VooDoo Lounge is free before 8pm... they open at 5 or 7, I can%26#39;t remember which. You could go up there, watch the sunset and then hit another club after that. It%26#39;s a great place, you should definitely go here. Also, last time we were there, we got there before the cover and asked if we could leave to get food and come back and they stamped our hands and we were all set for the night!

The same goes for MIX at Mandalay Bay (get there early and no cover), unless of course, you don%26#39;t plan on getting there until later on in the evening.

Eye Candy at Mandalay Bay is just in the middle of the casino, nothing to write home about - you have way more choices that are worth your time. Same thing goes for Caramel at the Bellagio, just sort of there.

I believe TAO does not let you stay after the restaurant turns over into the nighclub.

Fontana at the Bellagio is gorgeous and you may have a small wait if you get there after 6 or 7, but the atmosphere is great!

Blush and Tryst are definitely splurges, but they are gorgeous. I think Tryst looks more appealing than TAO but I guess it%26#39;s up to you what sort of vibe you%26#39;re going for. I also don%26#39;t think Blush charges a cover early in the evening (but I could be wrong) so you could probably hit up both.

Have a wonderful time!!

PS - I know I sound cheap, haha, my main point was to let you know you could probably fit in a lot of your choices without the added expense!

What no Atomic?

Well I think first and foremost, you gotta differentiate a club and a bar..and there are fancy bar clubs called lounges.

Did you want a dance floor with music? Or you straight up want to booze it up? I think if you are in LV you should definitely check out the clubs/lounges only. Bars can be found anywhere, even in your home town.

I personally like Tryst for the club atmosphere, and Blush is more kick back, but you still have great music. I don%26#39;t prefer any of those bars at NYNY or Harrah%26#39;s since the DJ%26#39;s don%26#39;t suit to my tastes. Tao should definitely be on your list of places to go.

You pay more at Blush/Tryst, but you won%26#39;t forget your Vegas experience.
