How far of a walk is it from The Flamingo to the Forum Shops

Hi everybody! My wife and I are going to Vegas for the first time in July. We%26#39;ll be checking into The Flamingo around 8pm on a Monday. We were thinking of heading to the forum shops first thing but I%26#39;m not sure we would be able to visit many of the stores being so close to closing time. How much time does it take to walk from the Flamingo to the shops? There is one particular shop that we must visit but I dont want to have to rush to get there. If it%26#39;s too far we may just hang around the Flamingo to check it out and waste away at Margaritaville for dinner and drinks then hit the shops in the morning.

Roughly 10-15 minutes, depending on where in the Flamingo is your starting point.

If I were just going to the Forum Shops and didn%26#39;t want to cut through CP%26#39;s casino, I%26#39;d cross the Strip at the Margaritaville corner, then hang a right and go down to the Forum Shops dedicated entrance, just before you get to the Mirage.

It%26#39;s not that far, you%26#39;re right across the street. Take the over walk to Caesars, it%26#39;s maybe a 10 min walk.

I think you would be too rushed, wait till the next morning, and go then. The Forum shops are huge, and I have been many times, but still get turned around in there. Plus, you will have the pressure of the stores closing just as you might possibly be getting there.

You should have a good 2hours before closing time as it closes at 11pm.

I think I would wait til the next day so you can enjoy The Forum Shops and not have to rush. The Forum Shops are great to just walk and brouse leisurely through.

i once took a cab from the Mirage to the Forum Shops as I had drunkenly forgotten where I was. the cabbie did a double take, I just gave him $20 and laughed at my stupidity as I actually left a craps table right near that hallway leading to the forum shops side of mirage....walked further to the cab.

The Forum Shops take up a huge area and it can be rather confusing finding your way around there. More than one person has gotten lost (including...me). I would wait until morning so I could take my time and not feel rushed.

Especailly if you come in the street entrance.....finding your way into the actual forum shops from the circular escalators can be an all day affair, LOL

Thanks to all for your input! I think dinner %26amp; drinks will be the first order of biz and we%26#39;ll hit the shops the next morning. Being Vegas virgins I have a feeling we%26#39;ll be overwhelmed when we first see the strip so we%26#39;ll take it easy and pace ourselves those first few hours. After all it%26#39;s vacation time!
